The nose is intense but refined with ripe blackcurrant, plum jam, licorice, cedar and toasty vanilla. On the palate, the concentrated ripe black fruit flavors are supported by youthful, fine-grained tannins and elegant acidity leading to a long finish which suggests cellaring potential of at least ten to fifteen years.
