The palate delivers lush flavors of cassis, blackberry, and blueberry with dark chocolate, roasted coffee and cedar. The finish is long and elegant with refined tannins that coat the mouth with seductive layered flavors of black fruit, spice and just a touch of mocha. Incredibly approachable and elegant yet will age well into the next decade.

The 2009 vintage is wonderful. The aroma's rich smell is only rivaled by the taste. We got a case for ourselves as well as to share with our friends.

I want to give it a 5.... but I need to lay this one down for 4-5 more months, I think? OOPS - that was the '10 I drank.... I give the 2009 a true 5 star! Thanks Silver Stag, you did it again!
